Raggedy Ann was built for my nephew, Joe Green, for his 16th Birthday. Joe told his mom (my sister, Tracy) and dad (my brother-in-low, Shawn) that he liked red Jazz Basses. Well, Joe is left-handed and finding a left-handed red Jazz Bass is a little on the difficult side... so... once again I get to disguise my desire to build as me selflessly slaving away in the shop for my beloved family. (I know... I'm pathetic)
Joe's taken the bass and made it his own. I absolutely love the modern-psychedelic vibe that he's given the aesthetic!
I got a bunch of pics from the build process I sent to Shawn during the build. You can see the body progression from lumber to finished instrument pretty well in this gallery.
